"Rock the Red" Recap

Hey SP readers! I'm finally back & ready to get back to doing some great things here. First up is my recap from the "Rock the Red" fashion show I styled last Thursday night. It was a great success & I really enjoyed working with everyone I did, especially my partner the whole way through, Brittany of Black is Breezie. We had some fantastic clothing & accessory designers & boutiques, that I will tell you guys all about in the coming days.

Not only was there a fashion show, but The Red Pump Project celebrated its 1st birthday & also honored Emmy award winning HIV/AIDS activist Rae Lewis-Thornton. This woman is straight up a phenomenal woman, as well as Luvvie & Karyn (co-creators of TRPP). Rae was presented with the "Ultimate Red Pump Rocker" award (see pics above) for all of her hard work & dedication she gives in all that she does.

Read & see more about the show after the jump...

Here are some pics of the designs that I styled. Aren't they just fab?

To end the show with a bang, we debuted the Red Pump Awareness t-shirt line.

The tees were a hit & everyone wanted a piece--believe me you will too. As the newest member of the Red Pump team as the Merchandise Partnerships Manager, I will keep all of you abreast on how & when you can get a piece!

Thank you to all who attended & if you missed it look out for more events. Also thank you to the models, boutiques, & clothing & accessory designers I worked with. It was a pleasure!

Excellent post! I just experienced that spectacular night all over again! What a fabulous event! Your styling was on point! And I need that Spirit Africa dress/skirt in my life! Funny because I took a picture of that model with my phone for the sole purpose of sharing it with you later to ask: How can I get that?! :)
